My Bow Pillow

I hope you have all had a good start to the weekend! Today, I want to show you my latest sewing project - this cute BOW PILLOW! I am definitely a girly girl and love bows and ruffles and polka dots and all those cute things, especially if they are pink! But since I'm married now, I've toned down the pinkness, which I'm sure my husband appreciates!! Anyway, this pillow is a cute detail to add some "pretty" to our living room! I'm known to have a slight obsession with the color white, but I am branching out now - to neutrals! Here is the pillow I made:

This Bow Pillow wasn't too hard to make, I didn't follow any pattern, just made it as I imagined it in my head! I love how it turned out! I already have lots of ideas for more pillow covers.... how many throw pillows are too many??? I'm thinking I can get away with a couple more!

On a side note... You know those days that are just REALLY good days? Well today was one of them. I love days like this. Maybe it's because September is finally here. Anyway, here's some of what I did today:

I went to Chelsea Market and walked around some of the shops there. There is a great shop with imported Italian food there - it smells AMAZING. The prosciutto, the cheese, the breads... amazing!

I thought this was really cool - a huge space filled with trays and trays of rising bread at Amy's Bread!

I walked around The High Line, a cool urban park, with my husband...

And walked past Kleinfeld - the bridal salon from TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress"!

So yeah, a good day! One thing I learned today though - stop destroying your feet by wearing cute (code for VERY uncomfortable) shoes. I don't wear sneakers. Ever. But I think it's time to purchase some comfortable shoes.

Hope you all have a great long weekend! Happy Crafting!
